Blog - How to Make Reading an Adventure

  Amy Doslich is a mom, writer/illustrator, a promoter of free kid’s books events, and host of a YouTube children’s show. You can just tell from all her efforts that she is dedicated to bringing a sense of discovery and adventure to children’s books. Her books cover the themes of magical adventures, family, and discovering hidden pictures. She also promotes free kids’ e-book days which benefit not only the readers but also promotes other children’s book authors.

Her You Tube show, Kid’s Ask, Authors Answer, is where children’s book authors showcase their books and children submit questions for the authors to answer. This show is fun, interactive, educational and is enjoyed by the readers and the authors alike. When a child interacts with an author it can promote curiosity and a deeper appreciation for reading.*  They can see authors as real people behind the stories and as role models that they can aspire to become someday. Amy says, “We are really helping kids enjoy stories in a fun and engaging way and for them to see behind the scenes.” Kid’s Ask, Authors Answer is an adventure for kids to discover the storyteller, not just the story, and kids learn to love reading even more.
